The six stages in the Aqualife RO system perform different jobs. Understanding the sequence, from initial sediment filtration to the mineral cartridge, helps you discuss suitability and plan maintenance.
5 µm Pre-filter
Filters particles such as sediment, sand and rust.

1 µm Sediment filter
Filters finer sediment particles.

Inline carbon filter
A stage for reducing chlorine, taste and odour.

RO membrane
Reduces dissolved salts and selected contaminants.

Post-carbon filter
A finishing stage for taste and odour.

Mineral cartridge
Final mineral stage for a natural taste.

Start with your water source
The number of stages alone does not establish drinking-water safety. Match the system to your source, relevant laboratory findings and a suitable service plan. A TDS reading alone cannot confirm that every contaminant has been removed.
What the RO process needs
Check the feed-water connection, electricity, installation space and a suitable drain for reject water with the installer. Feed conditions and pressure affect filling time and reject-water volume.
Keep the system maintained
Each cartridge may have different service needs. Record the installation date, parts replaced and the next inspection. Read the RO maintenance guide or ask about installation and service.
